Brazilian immigrant Branca (Leticia Arioli), gets entangled with Patrick (Tim Batten), a con-artist looking to swindle her out of money for a Green Card marriage, until he himself seems to fall in love. Branca seeks a future with a truly American man. But she discovers that cultural assimilation costs more than just money, and that the American man of her dreams may be as elusive as the American dream itself.
